Election Commission of Pakistan Released the Election Duty List of Polling Officer 2024 on 04 February 2024.The Election Commission of Pakistan has released the election duty list of polling officer on 22 for general election 2024. Election Commission of Pakistan arranged the training for the polling staff including f presiding officers (POs), assistant presiding officers (APOs) and polling officer. In the first phase, training of teachers, as assistant presiding and polling officers has completed from from December 26 to January 4, 2024. Election commission officials establishes the polling stations according to polling scheme. Each polling station is consist of 2 to 4 polling booth. General Election 2024 Polling Staff Details
As you know the general election is going to held on 8 February 2024 in Pakistan. To performs election duties the election commission of Pakistan assigned individuals as Presiding officers, Assistant Presiding officers and polling officers. There will be 1 Presiding Officer per polling station, 1 Assistant Presiding Officer (APO) and 1 Polling Officer at each polling booth. On election day presiding officer will act as Magistrate of the First Class as authorized by the commission and will be responsible to maintain law and order at the polling station. The Polling Officer is in charge of the marked copy of electoral roll and also responsible for identification of the voters on the polling day.

What are the Duties of the Polling Officers
In general election 2024 the Polling Officers will performs the following duties.
- The polling officer is responsible to check the original National Identity Card of voter and compare the photograph and details with those provided in the electoral Rolls.
- He calls voter name and serial number is loud vice.
- Examining the cuticle of the right thumb of each voter to verify whether the voter has already polled his/ her vote or not.
- Officer applies indelible ink on the right thumb of each voter.
- He strike off the name of voter from the electoral rolls before guiding them towards the APO.
- He is banding to perform any other function assigned to him/ her by the PO or APO.
