Caretaker government is going to increase petrol and diesel prices on 15 January 2024. According to reports, petrol prices would rise by Rs2 per litre. While high-speed diesel prices would rise by Rs 8 per litre. The price of petrol in Pakistan is Rs 272.89 per litre. While the price of HSD is Rs 278.96. If the government approves the price hike, the new petrol price will be Rs 274.89. And Rs 286.06 per litre for diesel. Earlier this year, the government increased natural gas prices by whopping amounts, burdening inflation-bitten citizens.
