The Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi said that the school winter vacations will not be extended. In Punjab province public and private schools will reopen on 10 January 2024. However the Education Department, Government of Punjab released a notification about school timing on 08 January 2024. According to this notification schools time will start from 9:30 am instead of 8:45 am. This new school timing schedule will be continue till 22nd January 2024 due to worst weather.

Punjab Govt Changes School Timings
The Punjab Government changed the schools timing due to ongoing winter wave. For this purpose Punjab Government, School Education Department informed by notification that the schools will open 9:30 am. The new school timing in Punjab will be remain till 22nd January. From 23 January 2024, normal school timing will start 8:45 am. During this duration between 10 January to 22 January, students will be allowed to wear any worm clothes instead of Uniform.
